On the 30th August team members of the Climate Justice Fund: Water Futures Programme hosted an event at World Water Week 2018 in Stockholm, Sweden. The event, entitled “Country-led asset management systems to improve WASH services” brought together experts from the WASH sector representing a number of different leading organisations in the field such as University of Strathclyde, mWater, Baseflow, UNICEF and DAI. The event consisted of a few short speakers, including a senior member from the Government of Malawi, an informative and interactive session and, a panel of experts in a lightening discussion round.

The event was streamed on Facebook Live and twitter and the thread has received nearly 8,000 views so far. The Chief Groundwater Development Officer at the Ministry of Agriculture, Irrigation and Water Development of the Government of Malawi, Zione Uka, thanked all Partners for the good work and encouraged them to keep putting Malawi on the international map of water infrastructure mapping and asset management.The video of the session is available here.
