3rd Regional Meeting on Tools for the Sustainable Management of Transboundary Aquifers

July 3, 2018

Slightly foamy borehole drilling in Phalombe, South-Eastern Malawi this week. This hole is being used as a drilling 'good practice' example, part of the The Scottish Government Funded CJF: Water Futures Programme being delivered by the University of Strathclyde. Working to improve the sustainability of rural groundwater supply infrastructure in Malawi through good drilling practice, and sound hydrogeological decision making. Many water points here are failing soon after construction due to poor drilling and installation. Will be speaking about this at the WEDC UK conference next week.
