ASSET MANAGEMENT & DATA COLLECTION
MWater data collection commenced in 8 Districts Covered by CJF programme (including Water Point and Sanitation Surveys). This programme is being completed by 90 enumerators in 8 districts using the MWater data collection app. To date (15 December) 12,000 water point surveys have been submitted. To date (15 December) 41,000 sanitation surveys have been submitted. Round 2 mapping is estimated to be 50% complete, with all surveys submitted before February 2018 and approved by March 2018.
MWater portal data cleaning and manipulation has commenced, this includes the production of 30 Dashboards for data assessment. Training for all enumerators in 8 districts was completed in late September-early October 2017.
Extensive training on mWater consoles (for data management) is planned for January-February 2018. There will be an initial 3.5 day training of the MoAIWD mWater Task Force and DEC members, led by mWater staff Annie and John Feighery with guidance on required outcomes from CJF team. Follow-on training will provide 8 2-day sessions to each CJF District to develop their reporting requirements within the mWater platform.
All legacy AkvoFLOW water point site and survey data, and sanitation site and survey data, has been imported and linked to the new mWater surveys. Borehole site data from the GoM of all non-CJF Districts has been imported.
Creating and updating surveys.
Importing sites (water points, sanitation facilities, waste sites, surface water sites, schools, health
facilities, communities) and linking these where possible.
Training for CJF staff, students and CJF partners - basic training, 'training of trainers', console training.
Promoting general uptake of mWater by the Ministry, NGOs, etc.
Promote the functionality and utility of the monitoring platform to national, regional and local governments for use in the district water offices.
Supporting logistical collection and transfer of water samples for chemical analysis at Ministry Labs.
Using water point and drilling data (i.e. logs, geophysics) to feed into regional aquifer/ water resource assessments for each district.
Using mapping data to feed into assessments of water point functionality (particularly when linked to
issues of drilling and maintenance) and needs assessments for future.
